Male (44) maintenance worker at spring factory was adjusting an electronic proximity switch on a taper spring rolling machine manufactured by the defendant when robotic arm which was heated to 1800 degrees started up and pinned him against a conveyor for 5 to 6 minutes. Plaintiff sustained 2nd and 3rd degree burns.
