Vincent Paul Petrosino is an attorney at Serpico, Petrosino, DiPiero & O’Shea, Ltd. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
He concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation and is committed to fighting for victims of individual and corporate negligence, including construction negligence, premises liability, product liability, vehicular accidents, wrongful death, railroad negligence & FELA, medical malpractice, workplace injuries, equine liability, nursing home negligence, dog bites, assault & battery, mass torts, class actions, and civil rights as well as police misconduct. In his career, he has participated in multiple trials, mediations, and arbitrations which have obtained several millions of dollars in settlements, judgements and verdicts. Vincent was recognized as an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star in both 2021 & 2022, a distinction received by the top 2.5% of attorneys in Illinois under 40 years old. |
As a second-generation trial lawyer, Vincent shares a deep appreciation for the practice of law and takes great pleasure in serving the legal needs and interests of every client.
He prides himself on using all of his efforts in understanding every client’s background and situation in order to provide the best possible legal advice and identifying issues before the client even knows a problem exists. His persistence, work-ethic, and attention to detail distinguish him from his peers.
Vincent was born and raised on the southside of Chicago. He graduated from St. Ignatius College Prep before attending Illinois State University, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. He would later go on to earn his Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago Illinois, where he excelled in trial advocacy, advanced torts, and legal writing courses.
During law school, he had the privilege of serving both the Illinois Appellate Court, 1st District and the Circuit Court of Cook County in the Law Division as an extern. He also proudly participated in the International Human Rights Clinic, which advocates for immigrant rights, the rights of minorities, victims of war crimes, prisoner's rights, crimes against humanity, and the rights of older persons among others.
Prior to joining our firm, Vincent worked at two other personal injury and workers’ compensation firms, where he learned many valuable tools of the profession and developed a passion for working with others. All of his experiences in the legal profession have helped him develop the skills and knowledge necessary to advocate for every client. In his free time, he is an avid musician, sports fan, and enjoys spending time with his family.
